The weights felt heavy as Max worked through the reps of her lower body routine. The bar was across her shoulders as she squatted. Sweat glistering down her face and arms. She couldn’t stop thinking about Rosa.

Yesterday was amazing—it was beyond amazing! She hadn’t known for sure that Rosa had felt the things she felt all those weeks, but now she knew for sure. Rosa wanted her so much. Rosa’s body had responded in every way possible to her. Max could hardly believe it when Rosa had kissed her.

Yet, too pleased to waste a second pondering or weighing the consequences of her assistant making a move on her, too full with weeks of built-up passion and sleepless nights; wondering what she would taste like, and feel like under her, she damned all defenses and welcomed her advances and as novice-like as her strokes were, Max enjoyed every moment with her. Rosa was so beautiful, so soft, so delicate, way beyond what she had even imagined. Her body had opened to Max like a beautiful flower and Max had loved every second of it.

Max returned the barbell to the rack.

Just reminiscing about last evening made Max moist between her thighs; it made her want to dash up the stairs, spread Rosa’s thighs and do it all over again.

She climbed the stairs out of the basement and appeared in the hallway. Magda was off today, she thought to herself as she walked down the quiet hallway. She took the stairs that led up to the upper portion of her house then took a turn into her bedroom. Rosa was still sleeping, curved on the bed like a living doll, her dark hair was sprawled out across the pillow and she looked peaceful, so peaceful and at ease and Max could not resist the instinctive smile that ran across her lips.

Rosa was drop-dead gorgeous, and last night beat her imagination—and previous experiences—still, this was not right and she could not ignore that sting of guilt that tugged at her heart.

Max shook her head to shake away the thoughts. She turned around and headed towards her bathroom. There were so many things she wanted to do to Rosa, so many, including keeping her safe and being there for her in every way.

Max showered and dressed and headed down to the office. She picked up her phone and the screen showed several missed calls, mostly from the office. She had abandoned her phone downstairs in the heat of passion, too lost in Rosa to even call the office and excuse herself from the planned meeting.

God I don’t know the last time I was this unprofessional!

Hissing under her breath, she dialed Kimberly.

“Oh, thank goodness!” Kimberly exclaimed as soon as she picked the call. “We were worried about you.”

“I know, I’m sorry,” Max apologized.

“It’s unlike you not to show up.”

“I know, I got distracted. How did it go?”

“I handled it. We reiterated the minutes of the last meeting and brushed through the topic for yesterday, only briefly, though, as I knew you would rather chair the meeting yourself.
